Last night, 10 of this season's "American Idol" boys competed in Vegas, and with the exception of Phil Oakey/Pete Burns-esque androgyne JDA and "awkward turtle" Charlie Askew (who were polarizing, but at least interesting), it was a pretty sedate show of boring balladry. Maybe Season 12 will be a girls' season after all, just like Nigel Lythgoe and Randy Jackson have been insisting.
