Avril Lavigne channels her old self in ‘Here’s To Never Growing Up’ music video

Today, Avril Lavigne premiered her new music video for her latest single “Here’s To Never Growing Up,” and during certain scenes, she reminds us of the “Complicated” girl we were introduced to many years ago.

“We're at prom, and the guys look amazing," the 28-year-old singer told MTV News of the music video set-up. "I had my own concept for this video. And then last minute, we changed it because the director came up with a concept and the concept was just 'prom.' And that was really it."

Donning her signature raccoon eyes and a mint green dress, Lavigne and her band act as the entertainment during a high school prom and extend their party outside of the gym to the rest of the school.

During one particular scene (skip to the 2:05 minute mark), the Canadian chanteuse skateboards down a hallway wearing black shorts and a white tank top, giving us a major flashback to her first music video, “Complicated.”

The soon-to-be Mrs. Chad Kroeger looks stunning in her new clip, which isn’t surprising.

The Napanee, Ont., singer recently topped HELLO! Canada’s list of “Canada’s 50 Most Beautiful Stars,” winning out over celebrities like Justin Bieber, Shania Twain, Michael Bublé, Matt Dusk, Carly Rae Jepsen, Ryan Gosling, Rachel McAdams and Raine Maida.
