JC Chasez caught singing for sorority girls

The girls of the University of Southern California’s Tri Delta sorority went wild when former boy band member JC Chasez showed up during an event and serenaded the ladies with his version of The Lumineers’ “Ho Hey.”

The clip was shared by Chasez’s former 'N Sync band mate Lance Bass on Twitter who wrote, “JC KILLING the Lumineers song Hey Ho.”

The former judge of “America's Best Dance Crew” is joined in the clip by Andi Inadomi on guitar (who, according to a comment, orchestrated the appearance) and USC’s Delta Tau Delta Fraternity, who act as back up singers for Chasez during the song.

CBS LA reports that the performance took place during a compulsory weekly event called MND (Monday Night Dinner) and was part of the fraternity’s plan to ask the sorority girls to a future event.

“Not in a million years did I think that one of my childhood crushes would actually show up to a random Monday Night Dinner,” the video’s author Elisabeth Roberts said. “It was so funny to see everyone’s reactions, and mostly to feel like I was 6 years old again.”

She also said, “The fact that a fraternity went to such measures to ask us to an exchange was really wonderful, and I didn’t expect it to become such big news so fast.”

Garnering over 52,100 views since it’s posting on Jan. 29, the video has gone viral and also reminded fans of the talent the 36-year-old artist still possesses.

“Dear God I miss his voice,” one YouTube user said. “He was and still is my favourite. Screw the haters, he need to come back. He's more talented than most chart toppers and record breakers in the past decade. Come back to music, JC! It's always been your destiny!”

Wrote another: “To be honest, this is better than the original. Man we need talent like this is music these days, come on people.”

After the performance, Chasez even took the time to pose for a photo with the girls, flashing the sorority’s hand symbol.
