Katy Perry covers “N*ggas in Paris”

Earlier today, Katy Perry covered a song that is so loved that it is known to have been performed 13 times in a single concert, Jay-Z and Kayne West's "N*ggas In Paris."

Prefacing her BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge performance by saying, "This is about to get real embarrassing," Perry launched into her own rendition of the rap track, minus the expletives.

During the performance, the "Teenage Dream" singer donned a New York Yankees baseball cap over her blue tinted bob and even flashed fans Jay-Z's Roc-A-Fella hand sign along with her band.

Her rendition is adorably entertaining and shows how quirky she can be on stage. It is nice to still see her having fun and able to laugh at herself since her very public divorce from actor/comedian, Russell Brand. Although Perry has tried to shake off her famous ex-husband, her family can't seem to do the same.

In a recent article, Perry's father, Keith Hudson told the press, "There are no hard feelings towards Russell -- I just received a text from him the other day in fact. He is a wonderful and smart guy." When asked why the couple split up, Husdon replied, "Her career got really busy and she did not get to see that much of Russell -- it was just one of those things."

The latest in a string of rumoured rebound relationships in Perry's romantic life is tall, dark and handsome model, Baptiste Giabiconi. The two were spotted together during Paris Fashion Week and posed for pictures with Chanel designer, Karl Lagerfeld.
