"It's so exciting that I finally get to share it with people [and] my hard work is finally being put on display," she said in an interview with Toronto's Virgin Radio. "I co-wrote 11 songs on the album out of 15 and a lot of it has to do with a day in the life of Kristina. [The album] has a little bit of everything. It's a journey and that's what's exciting about it."

The Ottawa native is of Lebanese descent and the newest protégé of legendary music manager, Vito Luprano, who played a pivotal role in signing Celine Dion to Sony Music and also produced her in the 1980s.

After nearly two decades in the music business, Luprano told CBC News that he needed a break, however, working with Kristina Maria gave him the incentive he needed to return to music, saying, "Celine put me in the industry, I'll always be there [and] my name will always be on all of her records forever," he said. "It was Kristina's energy that got me back out there and back into this business."

Her energy is undeniable and clearly evident on her 15-track album that fuses together elements of pop, house and dance music and also includes an appearance by former 'NSYNC member and current judge on "America's Best Dance Crew," JC Chasez.

"I mean, it's surreal. It's something that makes you go, 'Oh my god, I can't believe I'm here' and the fact that I even wrote with [JC Chasez], it's like, 'Oh my god, are you kidding me?'" she told Chloe Magazine about her experience writing with the former boy band member. "[When he walked in] I was like, 'How are you in front of me and not serenading me right now?'"
