Carly Rae Jepsen — "Call Me Maybe"
Ever since Canadian golden boy, Justin Bieber, began tweeting about this infectious pop song, it's been difficult to go anywhere without hearing it. Recently reaching No. 1 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart, this clip showcases Jepsen as the lovable girl next door and has a pretty good shot at winning Video of the Year.

Down With Webster — "She's Dope"
DWW's entry for Video of the Year features the band in a variety of different realities from living in a tiny house to being served a plate of snakes at a restaurant. After filming the restaurant scene, band member Bucky said, "It smells really gross, like really, really gross in here. It smells like McDonald's and snakes."

Drake"Headlines"
Filmed in Canadian landmarks like the Rogers Centre and the CN Tower, "Headlines" delivers a look at the rapper's personal style, but according to Drake is, "By no means the best song on [his] album." Well, with almost 30 million views on YouTube, we bet a lot of Drake's fans would beg to differ.

Hedley ft. P. Reign — "Invincible"
Showcasing the different meanings of courage, "Invincible" follows the stories of a variety of individuals from a girl who is comfortable with her body to the emergency response teams that save lives. "As part of the video, we wanted to capture things like bravery and certain characteristics about people who work every day to protect other people," lead singer Jacob Hoggard said.

Five very different videos have been nominated for Video of the Year but only one can emerge victorious. For the strong messages that they convey and for honouring brave individuals in their clip, we believe that Hedley's "Invincible" will take home the 2012 MMVA for Video of the Year.

Tune in this Sunday at 9 p.m. to see which video reigns supreme when the 2012 MMVAs air live on MuchMusic from downtown Toronto.
