Selena Gomez angers Beliebers after mocking Bieber on 'The Late Show with David Letterman'

Selena Gomez stopped by “The Late Show with David Letterman” on March 18 and learned that she and host David Letterman have something in common: they’ve both (allegedly) made Justin Bieber cry.

“The last time he was on, he and I got into a conversation and he said something, then I said something, then he said something, and I said something, and I made him cry,” Letterman said during the interview.

Gomez then responded, “Well, then, that makes two of us.”

Of course, Letterman has previously addressed his claim of making Bieber cry -- he's apologized for it, and also told Oprah Winfrey that he didn't think the pop star was tougher than people thought.

“I thought I made Justin Bieber cry and I felt bad about that, but I don’t think I did,” Letterman said on “Oprah’s Next Chapter” in January. “The kid can take a punch. I like the kid. He’s really pretty good but something happened. I didn’t even know what it was and…you forget that they’re only 16. You forget that they’re little kids.” (Oprah corrected Letterman that Bieber was 18 years old at the time.)

He also said, “It was awful and I felt awful about it and then we were reassured that he was okay.”

While Beliebers seem to be passive on Letterman’s side of the conversation, they certainly have been lighting up the Twitterverse with hate remarks directed at Gomez.
