Kelly Clarkson’s “Since U Been Gone” gets an amazing drum cover by young girl

Check out this little drummer girl:

Performing a drum cover of "Since U Been Gone," the 2005 chart-topping hit from original "American Idol" Kelly Clarkson, this young lady shows that not only can she keep a beat, but she can also slaughter it in the process.

Special attention should be paid to the portion of the clip between the 2:57 and 3:29 minute marks, when we are treated to a triple-camera view of this youngster's exceptional skill beating out the rhythm.

This isn't the first time we've seen a child morph into a drumming prodigy. Earlier this year, a video of seven-year-old self-taught Canadian drummer Jaxon Smith went viral after his drum cover of the Foo Fighters' tune "The Pretender" was posted on YouTube.

"At the age of two, (he played) on the sinks, with toothbrushes every morning," Smith's father told NBC. "It just evolved to chopsticks on the couch. We probably got him his first kit when he was three years old. He was a bit sloppy on it for a while, (but) he's totally taught himself. It's like 100 percent Jax. I don't know how he did it ... just watching live concerts of bands that I like on TV."

Watch out Tommy Lee, Lars Ulrich and Dave Grohl -- you've got some competition brewing!
