MuchMusic Video Awards 2012: Drake Vs. Justin Bieber for UR Fave Artist

In the beginning, Justin Bieber and Drake had a brotherly relationship that was adorable and sweet. In the past, the rapper has even welcomed the teen heartthrob to the stage during one of his shows to perform the track "Trust Issues," and called him his little brother.

In reciprocation, the Biebs invited Drizzy to collaborate on his new album "Believe," featuring him on the "sexy, mid-tempo" track, "Right Here."

However when it comes to awards, more often than not, the 18-year-old from Stratford, Ont., takes home the prize over the 25-year-old Torontonian almost every time.

In 2010, Drake started his year off strong when he picked up the Juno Award for New Artist of the Year knocking out a then 16-year-old Bieber. However, once the 2010 MMVAs rolled around, the tables were turned.

During the 2010 MMVAs, Bieber's "Baby" beat Drake's "Forever" in the categories of UR Fave Video and UR Fave New Artist in addition to his track "One Time" winning International Video of the Year by a Canadian over "Forever."

A similar instance occurred last year when Bieber's duet with his mentor, Usher, "Somebody To Love (Remix)," won out over Drake's "Find Your Love" for UR Fave Artist.

2011 also saw Drizzy and the Biebs tie for International Video of the Year by a Canadian and the two delivered an acceptance speech filled with camaraderie.

However, that tie seemed like an anomaly as Bieber again won out over Drake for the Fan Choice Award during both the 2011 and 2012 Juno Awards.

This year, Bieber's "Boyfriend" will face off against Drake's "The Motto" in the category of UR Fave Artist or Group and again against the rapper's "Take Care" for International Video of the Year by a Canadian.

It's tough to predict which artist will take home the MMVA for the fan voted UR Fave Artist award, especially since they are competing against bands like Hedley and Marianas Trench, in addition to Carly Rae Jepsen's megahit "Call Me Maybe."

However, if it came down to only Drake and Bieber, the edge would have to go to Bieber given his massive fan base of "Beliebers," record-breaking music video views and his incredible track record for winning fan voted awards.

Although, Jepsen could very well be the artist who finally knocks Bieber from his metaphorical UR Fave Artist high horse.
