Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton unearthed a video of a 13-year-old Shakira in 1990 performing the song "Magia" a track that according to Hilton's post, she recorded for an album of the same name.

In the above clip, we can see flashes of the Shakira we know and love today with her expressive hand gestures, passionate delivery and vocal interpretation that can make even someone who doesn't understand Spanish, able to appreciate the song's emotional content.

The Daily Mail reports that the album "Magia," which translates to "Magic," featured nine songs written by Shakira from the age of eight and onwards, was released by Sony Colombia in 1991 and sold approximately 1,200 copies.

Given the above details, the record is now considered to be a promotional album only and does not factor into the singer's official discography as a whole.

The last song that Shakira sent to number one on Billboard's Hot 100 was 2006's "Hips Don't Lie" from her album, "Oral Fixation, Vol. 2." The track also hit top spot status on Billboard's Pop Songs, Latin Songs, Radio Songs and Digital Songs charts.

Since then, Shakira has released two albums, "She Wolf" and "Sale el Sol" and as of October 2011, the singer, who is also a Unicef Goodwill Ambassador, was appointed to the President's Advisory Commission on Educational Excellence for Hispanics by President Obama.

Today the 35-year-old is back in the recording studio and in 2011, told Billboard that it was something that she was "anxious" to return to.

"I'm working with different producers and DJs, and I try to feed off from that and find new sources of inspiration and new musical motivation," Shakira said. "I'm anxious to return to the studio. My body is asking for it."
