Sussex teens spoof LMFAO’s “Sexy and I Know It” in farming parody

These Sussex, N.B., teens have manure on their boots, and they aren't afraid to show it.

Jed Webster and Nathan Brown from Sussex Regional High School in New Brunswick, released a four-minute parody of LMFAO's chart topping track, "Sexy And I Know It," calling it "From Sussex and I know it," last week and never thought it would go viral.

"It's incredible to have this many people watch and even like it," said Webster after the clip had reached 110,000 views on YouTube. Adding, "We never thought it would go this big."

Well, things are about to get a whole lot bigger.

As of the time of this post's publication, the video has over 283,000 views and shows no signs of slowing down. According to viewer comments, the group has "made the whole province of New Brunswick proud!"

According to CBC News, Webster and Brown, along with another student, Mac Miller, created the clip as part of a "self-expression project" and wrote the song as part of another class assignment. The three are also part of the band Take The Chance.

"It was the band's initial idea, and we were going to do a remake," Webster said. "But what really gave us the drive to do it was [these] two school projects."

In the clip, Webster and Brown demonstrate their daily routines on a farm in their city of approximately 4,300 people and show the viewer everything from tractor riding and cow milking to walking by a few Holstein cows who apparently think that they are "fly."

With the help of their friend Jeremy Vincent, the video took two days to put together and has put a smile on the faces of many local residents in addition to their fans on YouTube.

"Some people can relate to it," Brown told CTV News on Monday. "People from Sussex who've moved away, they'll watch it and it will bring them back to Sussex again, like bring back where they're from."
