Moby To Perform At Brit Award Nominations

(1/9/03, 5 p.m. ET) -- Moby will join U.K. artists Ms. Dynamite and Big Brovaz for performances during the Brit Award nominations event, set for January 13.
The performances will originate at Abbey Road studios in London, and will be shown live on ITV2 on January 13 as the full list of contenders for the Brit Awards 2003 are revealed.
The awards ceremony is set for February 20 at Earls Court and one winner has already been named--Tom Jones, who will be receive this year's Outstanding Contribution To Music Award.
Four of the award categories are voted for by the British public, including British single, British urban, best pop act, and British breakthrough. The remaining categories are selected by the Brits Academy, which is made up of more than 1,000 members from different sectors of the U.K. music industry.
Moby's title track from his album 18 is nominated in the U.S. for a Grammy in the category of best pop instrumental performance.
