(3/10/00, 4 p.m. ET) - Canadian record producer Bruce Fairbairn, who died in his sleep last May while producing Yes's latest album, The Ladder, was set to be honored with a posthumous induction into the Canadian Music Hall Of Fame during the Juno Awards Sunday (March 12) at the Toronto SkyDome. Fairbairn's award was slated to be presented by members of the band Loverboy to his wife, Julie Glover, and their sons, Scott, 21; Kevin, 18; and Brent, 14. Also part of the presentation was a three-minute tribute to the late producer with appearances by Jon Bon Jovi and Steven Tyler. Members of AC/DC, who Fairbairn also produced, were scheduled to be in Toronto on Sunday, but were scheduled for a radio interview during the Juno show. Besides the aforementioned acts, Fairbairn also produced albums for Van Halen, Kiss, INXS, the Cranberries, Prism, and Honeymoon Suite. -- Gary Graff, Detroit
