Lit Singer Waiting For Consequences To Indecent Exposure Charge

(12/27/99, 10 a.m. ET) - Lit recently taped an episode of the Pamela Anderson Lee show V.I.P., and the rest of the month's agenda includes a stop in Reno, Nev. and then Vancouver to end the year opening for Kiss on New Year's Eve. Next year may not be quite as fun, as singer A.J. Popoff has to face the music for stripping down to his boxer shorts during a gig at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte on Nov. 10.

Popoff tells LAUNCH, "It hasn't been completely settled -- but, yeah, I was arrested and charged with indecent exposure, just goofing off onstage. You know, it was just one of those nights that I had to entertain myself. It was one of those nights where the security was just being major hard-asses and making everyone sit down and making the crowd stay mellow. It was a little frustrating, so in turn I just sort of decided to have a little fun on stage."

As to the status of the case, the stylish singer says, "Well I already had one, a court date when I had an attorney appear for me. And what they did was they scheduled me for another court date. So, that hasn't happened yet, so...I'm definitely going to pay the price, you know?"
