(9/25/02, 12 p.m. ET) -- Staind is set to release its MTV2 Unplugged DVD on November 12. It will feature the band's entire taping for the show. Staind singer Aaron Lewis told LAUNCH that fans will get a chance to see songs not originally on the broadcast.
"It's everything. It's all the songs that we played. That's kind of one of the bonuses to the DVD is that there was a couple of songs that didn't even make it to the MTV2 full-length hour appearance show. There were two of them. There was the regular one that was only a half-hour and then the MTV2 one was a full hour. And there was two songs that didn't even make it to that."
The DVD will also contain interviews, backstage footage, and the videos for "Mudshovel," "Outside," "Epiphany," and "Fade."
When asked if the band ever thought about bringing the unplugged Staind out on tour, Lewis told LAUNCH, "It's funny that you might mention that because that's actually in the works. That's the plan for one of the tours that we're going to be doing when we go back out on the road. We'll come in and play what we would have normally played with the tour that we have, and then the following night play at a theater-sized place in the same city, totally acoustic."
Staind is currently in the studio laying down guitar and vocal tracks for its still-untitled follow-up to Break The Cycle. Lewis said that fans should expect the album and the electric-acoustic tour in the beginning of the new year.
