(8/17/01, 4 p.m. ET) -- Rapper C-Murder (Corey Miller), the younger sibling of rap mogul Master P, turned himself in to Baton Rouge Police in Louisiana on Friday (August 17).
A warrant was issued for the rapper's arrest following an incident that took place on Tuesday (August 14) at the Baton Rouge's Club Raggs nightspot. After getting into a confrontation with security guard Daryl Jackson and club owner Norman Sparrow because they would not allow him to enter the club without being searched, C-Murder allegedly pulled out a firearm and attempted to shoot Sparrow. The gun jammed and the rapper subsequently left.
C-Murder is currently facing charges of attempted first-degree murder and illegal use of a weapon. The rapper also faces the additional charges of aggravated burglary and aggravated assault for an unrelated incident that occurred on June 14, when he allegedly forced his way into a Baton Rouge home and held someone at gunpoint while looking for a man who he had fought with earlier in the day.
C-Murder's legal issues mounted further on Thursday (August 16) when he was hit with a lawsuit from Sparrow and Jackson. No Limit Records, Bout It Management, and Bout It Inc. were also named as defendants in the lawsuit, which asserts that C-Murder grabbed Sparrow by the arm and that, when Sparrow pulled away, the rapper attempted to shoot him.
