(6/25/03, 4 p.m. ET) -- Evanescence will headline the Nintendo Fusion Tour--a traveling show that will bring fully immersive entertainment from the worlds of music and cutting-edge gaming to 25-cities across North America. The tour kicks off in Los Angeles on August 4 and ends in the Pacific Northwest in late September.
Emerging artists including Cold, Revis, Cauterize, and Finger Eleven are the support acts on the tour. Each concert location will feature many Nintendo games for patrons to try out.
Evanescence lead singer Amy Lee said in a statement, "When we're on the road, we play music all night and Nintendo all day. This tour lets us bring two of our favorite things together."
Evanescence's hit single "Bring Me To Life" is currently at Number Eight on the Billboard Hot 100 after 16 weeks.
News of Cold's participation in the tour may come as a pleasant surprise to fans of the band who were looking forward to seeing them perform live this summer. Cold announced last week that the band was skipping this year's Lollapalooza tour, and it cancelled its late summer dates with Staind in Europe.
Tickets for select shows will be available beginning June 28. For more information please visit the tour's official website nintendofusiontour.com.
