(7/10/03, 3 p.m. ET) -- Hip-hop mogul Suge Knight's lawyer Rose Kogeman has presented authorities with a videotape that she maintains proves Knight's innocence. The unidentified victim, a valet who Knight allegedly punched in the face, has also come forward to refute accounts that Knight punched him from behind.
Kogeman told the Los Angeles Times, "He could see Mr. Knight in front of him when the guy punched him from the back. The video shows a guy walking up behind the valet."
Knight is presently facing up to a year in prison if the California Board Of Prison Terms decides the mogul violated his parole during the incident which took place on June 21 outside a Los Angeles nightclub. Knight was arrested on Friday (June 27) and held without bail.
The California Board Of Prison Terms has 30 days to decide whether or not to revoke Knight's parole.
Knight spent 61 days in jail after an arrest last December for violating the terms of his parole by associating with gang members.
