(2/4/03, 12 p.m. ET) -- Lil' Jon & the East Side Boyz recently traveled to Miami to shoot a video for their latest single, "Playing No Games" featuring Fat Joe and Trick Daddy. The clip takes place in the fictional Omega East Side fraternity house, and it looks like a melange of Animal House, Spike Lee's School Daze, and the Girls Gone Wild home-video series.
The "Playing No Games" video was co-directed by Rachel Watanabe-Batton and Lil' Jon, who was trying his hand at directing for the first time. Lil' Jon explained what he tried to capture, "When I'm making beats, I know what folks want to nod their head and act crazy to...But as a director I wanted to bring the crunk energy to the TV, and a frat-house party was the perfect fit."
Lil' Jon & the East Side Boyz's latest album, Kings Of Crunk, is Number 66 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. Lil' Jon explained why the group choose to title their latest set Kings Of Crunk. "Well, because we think we're the kings of what we do, you know what I'm sayin'?" Lil' Jon said. "We the only artist that consider ourselves crunk artists. They call what we do crunk music, so we the kings of that. So everybody else is, like, followers after that, so that's why we decided to call our album Kings Of Crunk."
