Our Lady Peace Leads Juno Pack

(2/13/98) - The nominations for the 1998 Juno Awards (for accomplishment in Canadian music) were announced Wednesday, and Our Lady Peace lead the pack with five nominations: Best-Selling Album (Foreign Or Domestic), Album Of The Year, Single Of The Year, Group Of The Year and Blockbuster Album Of The Year, the latter of which is voted on by Canadian music fans.

Our Lady Peace will be challenged in Best-Selling Album (Foreign Or Domestic) competition by Aqua, Backstreet Boys (with two entries) and Spice Girls. Sarah McLachlan pulled in four nominations, including Album and Single Of The Year. In all, artists in 37 categories were nominated during a ceremony at the CBC's Glenn Gould Theater in Toronto.

The Juno Awards will be held March 22nd in Vancouver and air live nationwide on the CBC.
