Slaughter Guitarist In Fatal Highway Crash

(2/9/98) - Slaughter guitarist Timothy Kelly, 34, was killed February 5th when his car was struck by a tractor-trailer in northwest Arizona.

The truck crossed the center line and struck Kelly's car, which then struck a third car, went off the road and rolled, said Pete Borquez, spokesman for the state Department Of Public Safety.

Slaughter, who have released five albums since 1990, have a live album scheduled for release this Spring and were planning to start touring again in May. There was no indication at press time whether those plans have changed.
