(2/4/98) -You might want to give a heads-up (pun intended) to your local Blockbuster. A new film for the follicly-challenged, starring some of your favorite rock stars, is making its way to video rental outlets in the Spring. Final Rinse is the title of the Polyvinyl Film release, which has just ended principal photography and heads into the great unknown of the editing studio. Billed as "part Spinal Tap, part Silence Of The Lambs," the film stars the likes of Joey Ramone, Skid Row's Sebastian Bach, the Last Hard Men (a supergroup consisting of Bach, the Breeders' Kelley Deal, the Frogs' Jimmy Flemion and ousted Smashing
Pumpkin Jimmy Chamberlin), Biohazard, the Dictators, Slaughter, Mars Needs Women and the Independents. The story trails overly hard-boiled Detective Max Block (Terrence Goodman) in his pursuit of crazed serial-killer Trojan (David Cale). Targeting big-haired rockers, Trojan stalks, murders, then coifs each victim in a unique and personal hairdo chosen especially for them. Block hunts Trojan through a potpourri of pop-culture references, violent confrontations and serious hair. Cameos include Frank Gorshin (best known as the original "Riddler" on TV's Batman), New York legend Uncle Floyd and VH1 VJ John Fugelsang.
