Staind's Acoustic DVD Arrives In Stores

(11/13/02, 10 a.m. ET) -- Staind's MTV2: Unplugged DVD hit stores on Tuesday (November 12), and it contains 11 songs; behind-the-scenes footage of the band including interviews; and the band's original videos for "Mudshovel," "Outside," "Epiphany," and "Fade." In addition, fans can see the making of the "Fade" video.

The complete tracklist for Staind's MTV2 Unplugged DVD: "Home," "Me," "Pressure," "Excess Baggage," "Suffer," "Waste," "Epiphany," "It's Been Awhile," "Can't Believe," "Fade," and "Outside." Singer Aaron Lewis told LAUNCH about making the set list for the MTV special.

"We basically tried to do as many of the songs off Break The Cycleas we could that would translate to an acoustic thing. There was a couple of songs that just wouldn't work. But most of them did, and threw a couple of older ones in there. I don't even remember the songs that we did that night, to be honest with you."

Lewis does remember the rehearsals however, especially when Cold guitarist Terry sat in with them. "At the time I think we were playing radio festivals and everybody has an A and B set of everything so [drummer] John [Wysocki]'s A setup and John's B setup was set up in the dressing room. Mike [Mushok] grabbed his acoustic and I grabbed my acoustic, and Johnny [April] grabbed his bass. And we all got small little practice amps and sat in the dressing room and just ran through the songs. And Terry from Cold was out the same time we were. They were playing some of the same shows we were. He came in and sat in and it was like two or three rehearsals and we did it."

Staind is currently working on its follow-up to Break The Cycle, and Lewis told LAUNCH he hopes to have the album out by April.
