Fat Joe Shares The Secrets To His Longevity
11/13/2002 7:00 AM, Yahoo! Music Mark Armstrong
(11/13/02, 7 a.m. ET) -- Bronx-based Latino rapper Fat Joe released his fifth album, Loyalty, on Tuesday (November 12). The set features guest appearances by Scarface, Cam'ron, Ginuwine, Tony Sunshine, Prospect, Remy, and Charlie Rock LD. Loyalty was produced by Precision, Teflon, Buckwild, Cool & Dre, Armageddon, Ron Browz, and Ty Fyffe.
Fat Joe has made a living as a professional performer since releasing his debut set, Represent, in 1993. He shared some of the keys to his longevity with LAUNCH. "Just my will to survive, me just wanting to strive to be the best, me refusing for people knock me down, you know what I mean? Like, I feed off the hate, know what I mean? When I make a ill joint and I know somebody who hate me is going to be sick when they hear it on the radio all day, that's what really drives me to just push further. If everybody said, 'I love you, Joe,' I'd probably get gassed and just, you know, make wack joints."
