(7/19/01, 7 a.m. ET) -- Eagle-Eye Cherry has hooked up with MCA Records for the release of his sophomore album, Present/Future, due in October. The effort is a revamped version of last year's U.K.-only release, Living In The Present Future.
Present/Future is updated with five new songs, among them first single, "Feels So Right." Also included "Wishing It Was," the same version that originally appeared on Santana's 1999 juggernaut, Supernatural. Cherry co-wrote the song for the now-famed Santana project.
"Long Way Around," meanwhile, represents his first released duet with his sister and fellow recording artist, Neneh Cherry.
The album was produced by Rick Rubin (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Beastie Boys), John Kurzweg (Creed, Jewel), and Adam Kviman (Cherry's 1998 hit single, "Save Tonight").
Cherry's 1998 debut album, Desireless, sold more than 4 million copies.
