(7/19/00, 3 p.m. ET) - Former Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider is finishing up what he says is his last recording. He told LAUNCH: "It's previously unreleased stuff that I've re-recorded called Never Let The Bastards Wear You Down." The album, Snider's only solo effort, is due out August 22. "I am definitely of the mind to put my musical career behind me. I see this record as the last chapter in my recording career," he noted.

Twisted Sister's legacy will live on in a tribute album being put together by Snider's former bandmate Jay Jay French featuring Sevendust, the band he manages, plus Sugar Ray , Lit, and Fu Manchu. Twisted Sister will contribute a track to the compilation as well.
