(2/19/03, 7 a.m. ET) -- Ozzfest 2003 will feature Korn, Disturbed, Marilyn Manson, Disturbed, and Chevelle on the main stage, in addition to perennial headliner Ozzy Osbourne. Details of this year's Ozzfest tour were officially announced at the Osbournes' now-famed Beverly Hills mansion on Tuesday (February 18). The eighth edition of the popular metal tour boasts 28 shows across the United States, beginning June 28 in San Antonio.
Second-stage headliners will be English goth-metal underground favorites Cradle Of Filth and Alabama quartet TRUSTcompany. Also appearing are Memento, Hotwire, Shadow's Fall, Grade 8, Twisted Method, Nothingface, Killswitch Engage, and Unloco.
More artists will be announced in the coming weeks.
Osbourne, his wife Sharon, and son Jack made the announcement alongside Korn's Jonathan Davis, Marilyn Manson, and Chevelle's Peter Loeffler. "We're offering 20 bands, there's 14 hours of music, and I really feel that this year the main stage is...it's really full with the elite of our world, of hard rock," Sharon said. "I mean everybody up there is an amazing performer, and that's what it's all about."
A limited number of tickets in each city will be available for $10 if purchased at individual venues instead of through Ticketmaster, according to Sharon Osbourne. A European trek is also being planned for later this year.
