Shaggy Shares His Very Original Valentine's Day Plans

(2/14/03, 5 p.m. ET) -- Reggae superstar Shaggy's latest set, Lucky Day, has been showing some resilience on the charts although the set has yet to yield any of the megahits that made its predecessor, Hot Shot, a worldwide smash. Lucky Day, which has sold more than 500,000 copies since its release, is presently Number 93 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.

Recently LAUNCH asked Shaggy--a renowned ladies' man--to explain his Valentine's Day plans. "To get laid, isn't that everybody's plan?" Shaggy said. "That should be the greatest laid day, you know, having everything swinging from the shower curtains, rose petals, the whole nine yards, a little bit of freakiness going on there. It takes a lot of practice up until the date, yeah!"
