Queens, Strokes & Korn Donate Signed Microphones For Benefit Auction

(5/12/03, 5 p.m. ET) -- Queens Of The Stone Age, the Strokes, and Korn are among the acts taking part in a charity auction to benefit the Hearing Aid Music Foundation (HAMF). The goal of the organization is to help educate both music industry professionals and consumers about protecting their hearing. The performers have donated signed microphones for an auction that starts Monday (May 12). For more information, go to shure.com and click on "Bid For Hearing."
Also taking part in the auction are Ozzy & Kelly Osbourne, Les Claypool, Guster, Judas Priest, Oasis, Smash Mouth, Stone Temple Pilots, Sum 41, and others.
The proceeds from the auction will go to HAMF's "Listen Smart" educational film program, which features Osbourne, Wyclef Jean, Moby, Cyndi Lauper, and other artists talking about the dangers of loud music and what people can do to minimize their risks.
