Silverchair's Daniel Johns & Natalie Imbruglia To Wed

(1/7/03, 4 p.m. ET) -- Silverchair singer Daniel Johns and girlfriend Natalie Imbruglia are tying the knot, according to an announcement by Johns's Australian record company. The couple got engaged just before Christmas, and news started to filter out when the rocker started shopping for rings in his hometown of Newcastle, Australia.

The couple was still on vacation last week, so a date for the nuptials has yet to be announced.

Imbruglia had a breakthrough with her album Left Of The Middle thanks to the monster hit, "Torn." Her latest effort, White Lilies Island, was released last year.

Silverchair's Johns has been battling a form of arthritis that has been so severe the band hasn't been able to tour in support of last year's Diorama. Despite the lack of touring, the band took home a combined five ARIA Awards, which are the Australian equivalent to the Grammy Awards.
