A.F.I. Talks Warped, Line-Up And Dates Are Etched
03/31/2003 4:00 PM, Yahoo! Music Darren Davis
(3/31/03, 1 p.m. ET) -- A.F.I. is set to play this year's Warped Tour, but the band will be off the tour in the middle, as they're playing two stints. Another quirk about the Warped Tour is that there are no set headliners, and bands can play at any time on any day.
As for how A.F.I. is going to handle that uncertainty, drummer Adam Carson said, "There's really not much you can do. The thing about Warped is that you're playing a half an hour every day at any time during the day, but most likely the sun is going to be out, you know, whenever your slot comes up. There's really no preparation, you get on stage...We get on stage and we have no choice but to play as hard as we can and as well as we can."
The tour starts just outside Boise, Idaho on June 19 and winds down in Asbury Park, New Jersey on August 10.
Not all bands are on every date of the tour. Here is the A-Z of bands appearing on Warped at different intervals: A.F.I., All-American Rejects, Andrew W.K., Atmosphere, Authority Zero, Avenged Sevenfold, Avoid One Thing, Bowling For Soup, Brand New, Coheed And Cambria, Count The Stars, Damone, Dropkick Murphys, Face To Face, Finch, From Autumn To Ashes, Glassjaw, Less Than Jake, M-80's, Mad Caddies, Maxeen, Me First And The Gimme Gimmes, Mest, New Transit Direction, One Man Army, Pennywise, Plain White T's, Poison The Well, Rancid, Rufio, S.T.U.N., Simple Plan, Slick Shoes, Story Of The Year, Suicide Machines, Sum 41, Taking Back Sunday, Talib Kweli, the Ataris, the Starting Line, the Used, Thrice, Tsunami Bomb, Unseen, Vendetta Red, and Yellowcard.
