Staind To Play Free Shows In Support Of '14 Shades Of Grey'

(4/8/03, 12 p.m. ET) -- Staind's new single, "Price To Play," arrived at radio on Friday (April 4), and its May 20 release of 14 Shades Of Grey will come with an extra bonus DVD disc. The band will also play four free shows in select cities--the first scheduled in their hometown of Boston, on May 15.

Along with the shows, the band will be doing in-stores in each city they perform. A number of tickets will be available to those who pre-order the album.

Staind will play the Avalon Theater in Boston on May 15, the Manhattan Center in New York City on May 17, the Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles on May 20, and the House Of Blues in Chicago on May 23. For these shows, the band will play a mix of Staind faves and offer fans a preview of some songs on 14 Shades Of Grey. A full-fledged tour is being scheduled for this summer.

The DVD features footage from the band from the early years to the present, and it will feature album lyrics and new photos of Staind.
