(12/18/00, 5 p.m. ET) - 98 Degrees is currently preparing for a tour in support of Revelation, its latest album. Singer Justin Jeffre tells LAUNCH the tour will kick off early next year: "We're going to start our tour in February. We're currently trying to put it together right now and we're very excited about it," he says.
The group's Drew Lachey explains how this tour will be different than past 98 Degrees tours: "We're going to be a lot more prepared for this tour and make it more of a production. Last time we went out, it was kind of like, 'Alright, we're going out on tour. Let's just go out on tour.' Now we're piecing it out, making it the total package that we want it to be, so we're looking forward to that."
When the tour dates are announced, fans will be able to access them at the group's new and improved website (98degrees.com), which is due to undergo a transformation very soon, according to the group members. "It's just going to be a lot more interactive. We're designing things that make it appeal more to the fans--message boards, more pictures, updates, videos, behind-the-scenes footage," Lachey and Jeffies explain. "We're going to become more involved in terms of pictures and updates and stuff. Instead of just being informative, it's really going to be hands-on by us. We're excited about that opportunity."
98 Degrees recently performed at New York radio station Z100's annual Jingle Ball holiday bash at Madison Square Garden on Thursday (December 14) and at Los Angeles radio station KIIS-FM's Jingle Ball concert at the Shrine Auditorium on Saturday (December 16).
