(4/3/00, 3 p.m. ET) - Vertical Horizon may be busy riding the wave of success with its breakout album, Everything You Want, but that doesn't mean the Boston band doesn't take time to ponder other important things in life--like baseball. The Major League Baseball season opens across North America today, and Horizon drummer Ed Toth tells LAUNCH that while he's a fan of the Yankees, he can still justify rooting for one of that team's greatest rivals.

"It was kind of cool in Connecticut growing up, you sort of could pick, Red Sox, Yankees, whatever," Toth says. "Like, I live in Boston now, as a baseball fan I have no problems whatsoever going to Fenway Park to see a game 'cause it's such a great park - Don't tear it down! Those sons of bitches, they're going to, too, I'll tell ya."

Still, don't expect to see Toth or any of his bandmates at a game in the Northeast part of the country any time soon -- Vertical Horizon remains on tour in the Southern states through much of April.
