Blur Guitarist Goes For Solo High

(6/18/98) - Graham Coxon, guitarist for Blur, will release his first solo album, The Sky Is Too High, on his own Transcopic label on August 11. In the U.S., the album will be distributed by Astralwerks/ Caroline Records. Coxon wrote all the songs and played all the instruments on the album, which was recorded in five days earlier this year. There are no plans for a solo tour, since Blur is now preparing to begin work on its next album; the band performs at England's Glastonbury Festival next week.
