A Tonic For The Troops

(6/3/00, 10 a.m. ET) - Tonic will perform their brand of guitar rock for American troops stationed in the war-torn regions of Bosnia and Kosovo next week.

The Los Angeles band will play in Tuzla, Bosnia, on June 12, and Kosovo's Camp Bondsteel and Camp Monteith on the June13 and June 15, respectively. They will also entertain military personnel in Suffolk, England, this Tuesday (June 6).

"If there was ever a group of people who needed some rock 'n' roll," says Tonic vocalist/guitarist Emerson Hart, "it would be the troops over there in Bosnia and Kosovo." The gigs are part of a series of dates the Los Angeles band is doing overseas throughout the month of June. Tonic will then return to the States for more shows in support of its second album, Sugar.
