Eve 6 Carries On After Bus Burns Down

(11/26/98, 1 a.m. PST) - Modern rock trio Eve 6 haven't let a fire that destroyed their tour bus keep them down. The band, whose self-titled debut album recently hit the platinum sales mark, is continuing to tour with Third Eye Blind on the "MTV Campus Invasion" tour of colleges, in spite of the fact that its tour bus was burned to the ground Monday (Nov. 23) after an apparent electrical short circuit. Although the band members lost most of their personal belongings, their gear, save for an acoustic guitar, was being transported in another truck and was not damaged. Also salvaged was a book of new lyrics penned by bassist Max Collins. Tour mates Third Eye Blind graciously allowed Eve 6 and its crew to ride to the next gig in its tour bus. After completing the current tour on Dec. 5 at Cal State Bakersfield, Eve 6 will head to Europe in January. The band will launch its own headlining U.S. tour in February. Features on Eve 6 and Third Eye Blind are available for your reading pleasure.
