Eve 6 Comments On Napster, Continues Road Assault
08/24/2000 9:00 PM, Yahoo! Music Craig Rosen
(8/25/00, 12 p.m. ET) - Eve 6 has come out in support of Napster. On the band's website (eve6.com), drummer Tony Fagenson wrote: "Once and for all, we 100% support Napster. We feel that it has enabled more people to enjoy our music than ever before, and how couldn't we get behind that?" The band is impressed with other aspects of the Internet as well. Fagenson tells LAUNCH that many fans have built their own sites devoted to Eve 6, which only helps in spreading the word about their music. "Some of these sites are awesome. I mean, they're really cool," he says. "We're actually using one of the guys to run our official fan site because it's so extensive and wonderful -- it's like, man, if people are putting this much time into us, then maybe what we're saying means something to them, and that just drives us even further." The band also revealed that they would be taking a whole bunch of cool bands out with them on the road, as Fagenson wrote: "Our opening acts will include OPM, Good Charlotte, and Wheatus. Call your local alternative station for more info." Eve 6 hits Providence, Rhode Island, at Lupo's tonight, and the tour lasts well into October.
