Simple Plan's London Show Is A Go

(4/2/03, 12 p.m. ET) -- Many artists have altered their touring schedules due to the war in Iraq, but Simple Plan has not. The punk rockers are pressing onward with their plans to perform April 7 at the Underworld in London.

Simple Plan is still riding high on the charts with the hit single "I'd Do Anything," from its debut album, No Pads, No Helmets...Just Balls. The track is currently Number 22 on the Radio & Records CHR/Pop chart.

Vocalist Pierre Bouvier said "I'd Do Anything" is about longing for an old high-school flame. "It's a story about...you meet a girl in high school, and she's really cool. And then you eventually kind of lose contact because, you know, of college and everything, which we didn't go to...I didn't go to college. Most people did and I didn't, so I kind of lost that. And then you realized that maybe that girl was really cool and you want to get back to that because you can't really forget about her because you can't find someone else who is as cool...Blah, blah, blah...the girl...ah, love you...that's about it."

Simple Plan will be back in the U.S. on April 15 to hop on board Avril Lavigne's Try To Shut Me Up tour at the CSU Convocation Center in Cleveland. The band will then join the Warped Tour 2003 when it launches in Boise, Idaho on June 19.
