(10/4/03, 7 a.m. ET) -- Teen rapper Bow Wow's latest release, Unleashed, was recently certified gold, meaning it has sold over 500,000 copies in the U.S. Unleashed is Bow Wow's third album to reach gold status--his 2000 album Beware Of Dog and 2001's Doggy Bag were also certified gold. In fact, Doggy Bag went on to platinum status--meaning it has sold over a million copies.
LAUNCH recently spoke with Bow Wow who said he worked hard to make Unleashed different than his previous albums. "I really wanted to take this album as far as possible, switch it up a bit, didn't want everything to be the same," Bow Wow said. "As opposed to the other two albums that I've dropped, I really wanted this one to be the big change. The big one that just sets me apart from everything else."
Next up for Bow Wow is the release of Johnson Family Vacation in April. In the comedy, which stars Bow Wow, Cedric The Entertainer, Steve Harvey, Solange Knowles, and Shannon Elizabeth, the Johnson family headed by their father, played by Cedric The Entertainer, attempts to drive cross-country for a family reunion.
