(10/5/03, 7 a.m. ET) -- The next single from Limp Bizkit's new album, Results May Vary, is a cover of the Who's "Behind Blue Eyes," which the group previewed on tour this summer.
DJ Lethal told LAUNCH that frontman Fred Durst came up with the idea. "One day, he just came in the studio and he had, like, this acoustic track going with some vocals, and we were just, like, blown away, where it just meant so much," DJ Lethal said. "All the words just...we just took to the words, and it just, it just made sense, and, you know, we just came in and added some keyboard stuff, and some drums, loop stuff."
The video for "Behind Blue Eyes" was directed by Durst and features an appearance by actress Halle Berry. The song also appears in Berry's upcoming movie, Gothika, which comes out November 21.
Shortly after claiming that he and Berry shared the "greatest kiss ever" in the video, Durst told MTV.com that "someone has come into my life that I really feel like, for once in my life, that I really, really bond with." Durst refused to name his special someone, but was reportedly spotted visiting Berry twice on the set of Gothika in Vancouver.
Meanwhile, Berry announced her separation from husband Eric Benet last week after three years of marriage.
Results May Vary, Limp Bizkit's first album in three years, entered the Billboard album chart this week at Number Two, selling over 325,000 copies. Their previous effort, 2000's Chocolate Starfish And The Hot Dog Flavored Water, sold over a million in its first week of release.
Limp Bizkit hasn't announced any tour plans yet.
