Suge Knight Denies Link To Cannibal Rapper

(4/16/03, 6 p.m. ET) -- Tha Row Records (Death Row Records) CEO Suge Knight has denied allegations made in a recent lawsuit that link him and his company to alleged murderer Antron "Big Lurch" Singleton. Singleton is accused of killing Tynisha Ysais on April 10 2002, and allegedly cutting Ysais open afterwards and eating some of her organs.

Knight told Reuters, "I don't know this guy...Nobody from our company knows this guy. I never even heard the guy rap."

Death Row Records, Tha Row Records, Stress Free, Derek Christopher, and Thomas Moore were all named as defendants in a wrongful death lawsuit which was filed by Ysais' mother, Carolyn Stinson.

In the lawsuit which was filed Thursday (April 10) in Los Angeles Superior Court, Stinson maintains that Death Row provided housing for Singleton and a bodyguard, as well as the drug PCP.

Stinson's lawyer Winston McKesson told Reuters, "We're going to continue to investigate. If it turns out that Death Row is right -- that there is no connection -- we will drop them from the lawsuit immediately."

Singleton was charged with murder and is being held without bail. If found guilty, Singleton could face the death penalty.
