(2/27/03, 5 p.m. ET) -- Korn has written 10 songs and has 10 more songs to go before hitting the studio, according to Korn drummer David Silveria. The members of the band will be producing the album themselves this time around after working with Michael Beinhorn on Untouchables.
Korn took home best metal performance honors for "Here To Stay" at the 45th Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday (February 23) at New York City's Madison Square Garden. Backstage at the awards, Silveria explained how winning a second Grammy stands in the band's accomplishments.
"It's an honor to be acknowledged, you know? It feels good," Silveria said. "And to tell you the truth from the support of our fans it feels like every day is a winning day with our fans. So getting something like this just makes it that much better--the icing on the cake. It doesn't make me feel like, 'Wow, we're actually worth something now.' I feel we win every day with our fans so this is just another cool thing."
This year's award is the first Grammy that was won solely by Korn. The band's other win--best music video, short form--was for the video for "Freak On A Leash," which was shared with clip directors Jonathan Dayton, Todd McFarlane, and Valerie Faris.
