(7/27/00, 4 p.m. ET) - Pop-punkers Eve 6 return this week with their second album, Horrorscope, featuring the single "Promise." The album was recorded after the young Los Angeles trio finished more than a year of dates in support of its self-titled 1998 debut. Singer/bassist Max Collins tells LAUNCH that those months on the road made Eve 6 a better band and, ultimately, Horrorscope a better record.

"I think we improved in such a huge way just from touring--as players and me personally as a writer," he explains, "just kinda growing and maturing. And I think the 14 months we spent on the road, you know, having to play every night, and having to be on every night, definitely made the recording process easier. Like for me, for instance, the vocals were just an easier task. It was more of a dilemma on the last record and this time it came across real easily."

Eve 6 is currently working out the details for a headlining tour to begin some time in August.
