(2/7/00, 12 p.m. ET) - The Flaming Lips will chat with LAUNCH.com fans today (Feb. 7) at 7:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. PT at chat.yahoo.com. The Oklahoma trio, best-known for its 1993 hit, "She Don't Use Jelly," has won serious acclaim in recent months for its most current orchestral-pop-influenced album, The Soft Bulletin.

The Lips also taped a show at the Will Rogers Theater in Oklahoma City, Okla., on Saturday (Feb. 5) for webcasting later this month. The show was a warm-up show for the band's upcoming U.S. tour, dates for which have not yet been announced.

The webcast of the show will be available at the Toyota website (www.isthistoyota.com) from Feb. 18-24. In December, the same Toyota site offered a recurring cybercast of a live Filter outing.

The Flaming Lips will release the single "Waitin' For A Superman" from The Soft Bulletin tomorrow (Feb. 8), with remixes of two songs from the now-out-of-print boxed set Zaireeka: "Riding To Work In The Year 2025 (Your Invisible Now)" and "Thirty-Five Thousand Feet Of Despair."Prior to the U.S. tour, which will include Looper as openers, the band is scheduled to appear on Late Night With Conan O'Brien on March 3.

The Soft Bulletin was named NME's No. 1 album of 1999 in the U.K. music weekly's Christmas double issue, and received the reader-voted best album award at the NME Premier Awards, handed out last week.

You can view several Flaming Lips video clips right here on LAUNCH.
