Semisonic, R.E.M., And The Smiths 'Never Been Kissed'

(3/17/99, 1 a.m. PST) - The soundtrack to Never Been Kissed, due April 6 on Capitol/ Java, features an interesting mix of rising new stars, established alternative rock acts, and legendary rockers.

The film, which stars Drew Barrymore (who also served as the executive soundtrack producer), features performances by Ozomatli and Jeremy Jordan, who also appear on the soundtrack.

Other acts featured on the album include teen pop sensations Swirl 360 and the Moffatts, and rising alt-rockers Jimmy Eat World and Remy Zero.

Also included are new singles from R.E.M. ("At My Most Beautiful") and Semisonic ("Never You Mind") as well as the an unsung classic by the Smiths ("Please, Please, Please, Let Me Get What I Want").

Other tracks on the album will also include the Beach Boys' "Don't Worry Baby," as well as John Lennon and Yoko Ono's "Watching The Wheels."
