Cam'ron Isn't Going Hollywood Anytime Soon

(10/14/02, 3 p.m. ET) -- Cam'ron is one of the stars of the forthcoming feature film, Paid In Full (due out October 25), and he is also currently on tour in support of the project. The rapper is headlining the Paid In Full tour, which also features M.O.P., N.O.R.E., NAAM Brigade, and on select dates Styles P and Clipse.

Cam'ron shared what Thursday's (October 10) tour-opening night in Atlanta was like. "It was crazy-like. I got there at the end of N.O.R.E.'s show. It was real bananas but, like, it was love for our whole show, you know? The whole time we went out, it was like 4,000 people. We went out and did our thing--I brung my man Juelz (Santana) out."

While Cam'ron is enjoying the spoils of the road and touring, critics have been eating up his first feature performance in Paid In Full--the rapper plays Rico, a character loosely based on Harlem drug kingpin Alpo. When LAUNCH asked him if he would be doing more acting in the future, Cam'ron flatly replied that he wouldn't actively seek scripts and that he is still focused on his music. "I mean, it depends on the script. I'm not going to sit here and take a part that I'm don't feel comfortable doing, you know what I mean, 'cause I love to do music regardless, you know what I mean? I got a long career getting ready to come ahead of me in music, but if a movie comes along and I feel comfortable with the character, then sure I'll do it, but I'm not going chasing it. I'm not going chasing any parts or anything," he said.
