Bow Wow And B2K To Make The Girls 'Scream' Again With IMX's Help

Brett Anderson

(5/13/02, 1 p.m. ET) -- Teenage hip-hop and R&B heartthrobs Bow Wow and B2K will share the bill during the Scream 2 tour, which launches July 25 at the Mid-South Coliseum in Memphis. Last year, B2K--which comprises members Omarion, Raz-B, Li'l Fizz, and J-Boog--opened for Bow Wow on the Scream tour, which also featured Lil' Johnny and Lil' Zane. The Scream 2 tour is currently scheduled to run through to a September 29 date at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Jacksonville, Florida.

IMX and B2K protege Jhene will also be featured on the Scream 2 tour. IMX has just scored a hit with "First Time," and LAUNCH recently asked groupmember Batman about IMX not headlining a tour for the first time in its career.

"For us, it's really not like a headlining thing--to us, it's, like, we just want to get out there and do our thing and it's, like, you know, all the groups are hot right now. B2K is hot, Bow Wow is hot, IMX is hot, so we feel like it's more of an event. You know, it doesn't matter who goes first or last. It really doesn't matter to us 'cause, you know, we gonna get out there and do our thing regardless of whether we're first or last or in the middle, so it doesn't matter. So, you know, regardless, it's gonna be a hot show regardless," he said.

In related news, B2K spent Wednesday and Thursday (May 8 and 9) in Los Angeles taping the video for "Why I Love You," the group's third single.
