Gorillaz Set To Benefit Afghan Red Cross Red Crescent

(11/27/01, 7 a.m. ET) -- Gorillaz is set to appear at two benefit shows in the U.K. for the Afghanistan Red Cross and Red Crescent. The first show, December 15 at the Bristol Academy, will feature Gorillaz plus Geoff Barrett of Portishead, Howie B, Asian Dub Foundation, UNKLE, and Scott Hendy. Another benefit is scheduled for December 17, featuring Gorillaz plus Daft Punk and Pulp.
Gorillaz also is readying a track the band recorded with D12. "911" is set for an Internet-only release on the Gorillaz website starting December 7. The song, which features former Specials/Fun Boy Three/Colourfield frontman Terry Hall on vocals, will be available with exclusive artwork and a companion video. A portion of the song is now available on the jukebox portion of the site.
