Vertical Horizon Not Complaining About Life On The Bus

(8/22/00, 4 p.m. ET) - Vertical Horizon continues on the road with Third Eye Blind, which means more days and nights in the rugged world of living on a tour bus. But the band's not complaining. Bassist Sean Hurley tells LAUNCH that any downside to the lifestyle is more than made up for by the upside.
"It's so great to play these cities and talk to 20 people after the show that are like, 'Oh, you know, I cried when I heard this song,' or 'I listen to this album all the time, I had to buy two copies, one for my house and one for my car,'" he enthuses. "To get out there and do that, that's worth it. If we have to drive around in cars, we'll do it. We'll ride around in toboggans with snow dogs if we have to."
The tour arrives Wednesday (August 23) in Mesa, Arizona, then heads to California. The quartet will make an appearance on the Tonight Show With Jay Leno on Thursday (August 24) and will join forces with the Dave Matthews Band for dates beginning in September.
Vertical Horizon's current album, Everything You Want, has sold more than a million copies since its release in June 1999. It features the hit single "Everything You Want" and the current single "You're A God."
